Jane Nitz | Founder & CEO
Jane graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and embarked on her professional journey as a dental hygienist in Port Neches. Little did she know that her entry into the dental field would mark the beginning of a profound calling the Lord had for her life.
In 1997, a dream about Africa stirred Jane’s soul. The subsequent Sunday at church, her pastor announced an informational meeting about an upcoming mission trip to Kenya. Struck with a sense of purpose, Jane whispered to her husband, “I believe I’m meant to be part of that trip!” Months later, Jane found herself on her way to Kenya, joining a medical mission team from her church.
While in Kenya, Jane confronted the harsh living conditions faced by the country’s orphans. Once back home, the memories of her time in Kenya lingered in her thoughts. Jane sensed a divine calling to establish a home for the orphaned children of Kenya. Almost two decades and numerous children later, the Into Abba’s Arms-Kenya Children’s Home stands as a cornerstone for Christian ministry in the central highlands of Kenya.
Jane passionately emphasizes the core mission of Abba’s Blessings, stating, “We want our children to grow up knowing they are loved. We want them to know the Lord deeply and be grounded in Scripture. It’s what brings about the greatest change in our children, because like all sinners, every one of them has a past.” Now, they have a future!
